This privacy policy describes how staik NOTE ("the Service"), provided by Stockholms Teknik och AI Konsult (reg. no. 559270-0032), handles your data.

1. Data Controller

2. What data is processed?

staik NOTE collects minimal data. The service has no backend, no accounts, and no database.

  • API key — stored only in your browser's localStorage. It is never sent to any server other than api.staik.se.
  • Images — sent directly from your browser to api.staik.se for transcription. Images are not stored by staik NOTE.
  • Transcribed text — displayed only in your browser and is not stored on any server.
  • No cookies, no analytics tools, no tracking.

3. Cookies and local storage

staik NOTE does not use cookies. The only data stored locally is:

  • API key in localStorage — so you don't have to log in every time.
  • No third-party cookies, no analytics tools, no advertising.

You can delete your saved key via "Switch key" in the menu, or by clearing your browser's local data.

4. How is your data used?

  • Your API key is used solely to authenticate requests to api.staik.se.
  • Uploaded images are sent to api.staik.se for AI transcription and are not stored after the response is delivered.
  • We never sell your data to third parties.

5. Data storage and third parties

staik NOTE is a client-side application with no server or database of its own. All data processing occurs via api.staik.se.

  • api.staik.se — handles AI transcription on Swedish GPU servers. See api.staik.se/integritet for their privacy policy.
  • All AI inference runs on dedicated hardware in Sweden. No data is sent outside the EU/EEA.
  • No data is used for training AI models.

6. Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to processing of your data
  • File a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY)

Since staik NOTE does not store any personal data on any server, these rights are effectively already fulfilled. Clear your browser's localStorage to remove all locally stored data.
